Flora Portraits presents a selection of exquisite, larger than life flower paintings by California artist Elizabeth Barlow. It shares Barlow’s time honored painting techniques, and her personal odyssey towards the grand arrangements of luminous blossoms she now paints. Each work is a new discovery rendered in intricate and life-like detail, and each invites an awakening to new ways of seeing and being.

The book includes an interview with the artist conducted by independent curator and art consultant Marianne K. McGrath, and an introduction by independent curator Helaine Glick. The twenty-nine color plates include paintings, exhibition installations and views of the artist’s studio.
