She is the reason I began painting flowers. 

She was many things, but always a gardener.  Over decades, she created a garden of beauty and calm with winding paths, a small pond, and billowing beds of flowers, ferns, and shrubs.  Working in the garde
This is “Rejoice,” my newest painting, now available @andranorrisgallery .  Three roses from my cottage garden dance against a blue sky, reminding me to always look outwards and upwards.

I love looking back at a painting’s journey, from the first brushstrokes on the canvas laden with all the hopes I had its becoming.  And
Dahlias have presence.  They are not soft like roses, or as brazen as sunflowers.  Dahlias say “Stop for a moment and look at my beauty.  Be present in this very moment now.” These are a few of the dahlias who stopped me with their beauty
